Sheep Sampler Rabbit Hole

Actually, this might be more of a sampler black hole, because I'm not sure I ever came out of it. I was poking around on Pinterest (follow me at http://www.pinterest.com/candacegregory/) because looking at craft projects is as productive as working on craft projects, right? Pinterest sent me a list of cross stitching boards to look at and one led to the most amazing site of antique and reproduction sampler patterns and kits: http://www.scarlet-letter.com/.

I want it all. I want to DO it all.

But I settled for searching for samplers with sheep. Not all were sheepy enough for me, but far too many were the stuff of my sheep cross stitching sampler dreams...

I'd better stop there or I'll just end up posting most of the Scarlet Letter site here. Happy sheep stitching!

24 December 2014 Christmas Eve

Welcome to my new blog on all things sheep. Judging by how many sheep / ovejas / schaf boards I see on Pinterest and the general prevalence of sheep on the internet, I am not alone in my obsession with sheep. I have also been inspired by the wonderful blog, My Owl Barn, which collects all things owls. I started following My Owl Barn a few months ago because I have a friend who loves owls, and I have been making her owl themed cards and stationery for a couple of years now. I kept thinking, this blog is wonderful, but why isn't there one like it on sheep? I feel as if I'm cheating on my sheep obsession every time I admire one of the owl links, or even more shameful, download one of the images or printables. Clearly I just had to start my own sheep blog. Unfortunately, I have too many hobbies (and a job, drat) so I'm not sure I will be able to update this everyday, but I will try and stay on top of it.

Welcome to my pasture.
